Beer me!

large_whitedenim.jpg ...or don't. I don't care. Here's the point. I am a VERY SERIOUS business man. I think about things like ROI and productivity. There is NO TIME for thinking about things like sex or what band is hip. No, wait, I DO thing about sex. A lot. But that is not the point. The point IS, is that I am a VERY SERIOUS BUSINESS MAN, and the we need to forge ahead and focus on the task at hand which is... wait, what was I thinking about? Oh yeah... sex... NO! Not that. Anyhoo...

Druglords of the Avenues, Re-Volts at Surf City Saloon - 2008-07-26

Buy on Amazon:
Ventured past the Orange Curtain last night to the Surf City Saloon in Huntington Beach to see my pals from the Swingin' Utters play in a couple of side project bands. Johnny is in Druglords of the Avenues, who are more modern sounding punk outfit, with his unmistakably great punk vocals leading the charge.

Retribution Gospel Choir

Buy on Amazon:

Alan Sparhawk's side project, Retribution Gospel Choir, produced by and released on Mark Kozelek's (Sun Kil Moon, Red House Painters) label, Caldo Verde. Nice stuff. Think Low songs with Sun Kil Moon production. We have a winner, folks.

I love Alan's songwriting, the melancholy atmosphere his songs create. Hey, they don't call it Sadcore for nuthin'!
