He supposedly roams large sections of the state, and can be seen carrying a torch.

He can usually be found in areas that were once large battlefields (Peet's Coffee is a good example.)

Legend has it that if you look Patrick at in the eye, you will be force to talk with him for eternity, but if you have a relative taken by him, you will be spared.

Californians say that in the presence of Pat, one should lie down on their stomach, face down to avoid eye contact, stay quiet, breathe shallowly, and don’t move.

Some say that he may nudge you to provoke a reaction so he can take you.

Long Beach is one of the many places Patrick Goddard is said to roam.
